Assembly presentation of grade 4B on 24th August'15

Hello parents

Just had an assembly yesterday on ICT integration:

Grade    4B                                                                                                  

Date:   24th   Aug’15

Day – Monday

Assembly  theme  => Integration of ICT

The assembly was initiated by Kian on how technology is integrated in our daily lives . It was followed by the NEWS which was read by Aarav and Aashna and it was specified that this also was brought to our doorstep because of technology.

A short humorous video on how life would be without mobiles was shown .

This was followed by a role play initiated by Arkit  and staged by Vriti, Naavya , Nishi, Ananya and Mehak  where they brought out the fact that different technological inventions  like smartphones, ATMs, credit and debit cards, touch screen devices have become the pivot  around which our  society revolves. The CCTV camera used to locate Vriti’s mobile was also one of the technological inventions portrayed in this skit.  The poem coined by Sargam on biometric devices was also a part of the assembly.

Mehak then brought the audience’s attention to the fact that not only is technology a part of our lives but was there in vogue  even  in  the stone age.  This was followed by a video presentation displaying this.

Thought of the day was by Arkit  “ Technology is  an extension of our brains. It’s a new way of thinking. It’s the solution we humans have created to deal with our complex and rapidly changing world.”

Then Aashna citing the example of the robot who killed a man in one of the ancilliary industry at Gurgaon brought to the attention of the audience that technology if used blindly  and without safety measures can lead to disaster.

The pledge was taken by Vriti  : We pledge to use technology responsibly so that it remains a boon for us and does not become a bane.

n   Finally ,the School song was sung .

Gr- 4B assembly presentation

Day – Tuesday

Assembly  theme  => Leaders

The assembly was initiated by Om Patel . A short prayer was recited. It was followed by the NEWS which was read by Zoran, Arkit  and Kian.

This was followed by a role play staged by Vriti, Naavya  and Aashna where they brought out the fact that leaders have certain qualities which helps them to be effective in their mission.  The focus was on the life of late Dr. Abdul Kalam , our ex –president who developed India’s first satellite launch vehicle SLV –III and who has been the recipient of Bharat Ratna. This was followed by a video presentation on his  life which brought out the fact that “A good leader takes a little more than his share of the blame , a little less than his share of the credit.”

The students were inspired by the thought brought out by the video “ A leader guides his team taking the blame when faced with failure and sharing the praise in the event of success”. 

Since this was staged just before the investiture ceremony most of the students could reflect that to be a good leader it’s very important that they support their groups.

n  Thought of the day was by Sargam “ A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way.”

n  The pledge was taken by Shubham : We will all strive to be good leaders and support our group whenever needed.

n   Finally ,the School song was sung .

Models of Ecosystems ( Grade 4 )

Grade 4 had a fabulous time making models of  ecosystems . The food chain and the food webs in various ecosystems were displayed and the students presented their models in the class with confidence. They shared their models with students of different classes.
